No More Pain

It's always surprise how much it hurts when you forget to let the coffee/tea cool or you bite into pizza right out of the oven. What to do for the pain? Suck on some ice, or take a mouthful of any cold drink and let it sit for a minute. According to Mary Frank, MD, a president of American Academy of Family Physicians : lowering the temperature inside your mouth helps stop damage to the cells, so you will heal more quickly.

You may want to stay away from anything spicy or acidic (such as hot pepper sauce or orange juice) untill your tongue feels better, in a day or so.
